Thought for the day

Mind feels light

Heart feels happy

Life is full of opportunities

Feet on ground

and dreams that touch the rainbow.

A son who’s ready to break into a smile

A partner who makes you feel safe

Family that offers unconditional love

What more does one need in life

But to thank one’s blessings and

a steaming hot cup of masala chai :-)

Enjoy the moment!!!!

'Flop' is the word

If you have read my previous post then you know what I am talking about. Let's just leave it at that. But, to clarify, I am not discouraged. More experiments will continue and you will continue to hear more about it.

Coming to terms..

October 11, 2010 - I resumed work today after toggling a while with multiple ideas in my head (Maybe I should be a stay at home mom and take care of my son, maybe I should do something on my own etc etc). When I took my 2nd maternity break on June 19, 2010, I told myself that I would not be coming back to this place again and here I am again…Typing out this post at work because I also have nothing better to do. The day started with ‘All the best’, ‘ I fell very bad for you’ from parents and darling sister and I also picked up a fight with HD (who never has a clue as to what is going to come his way) in an attempt to make myself feel better. The drive to work was pretty smooth and tried to enter into the office with a smile on my face. The faces hadn’t changed but the look and feel definitely had with all the renovation. I think I like this new office look. Atleast something had changed!!!! Not many were in by the time I had entered and the 1st person I met was the big boss himself who I was told, was going to sit in the office right in front of me. Hmmm. After some hello’s and hi’s to everyone, I had good long catch up lunch with the usual gang (Deeksha, Vasudha, Anusha and Dhanashree). And now I am sitting at my desk pretty jobless waiting for people to assign me work and to set the ball rolling. Another 55 minutes and I am off again to pick up Tarun. Everyone has been asking me about how I feel about getting back to work. I guess I am still coming to terms with it, but overall…..IT was not that bad at all…Let’s hope it continues this way…Amen!!!!!

Oh well…Might be worth mentioning for record that I tried out a new chowli recipe today to be had with roti. Let’s wait and see what HD feels about it. If it clicks, you will see it soon on this blog ( and yes…I also plan to post my personalized recipes here).

And a bird flies out of its nest....

The day dawns full of hope and excitement
with dreams to fulfill and journeys to cover,
With memories to create,
and experiences to learn from.

An anxious pair of eyes looks on,
wondering if my little bird is ready to fly?
Only time will provide the answers,
but that's the story of life.
The eyes make a fervent hope across the skies,
to protect its little one as it flies.

And the bird flies out of its nest...
aware that the eyes will always shadow him
and support him in his journey.
Knowing that the eyes will always await its return,
to the nest, it knows always will be his own.
